Interior Design Experience Leader - Local Office

“Local Office” Experience Leader Job Overview:

  • The “Local Office” Experience Leader is accountable for the homebuyer preconstruction experience.
  • This position reports to their local office General Manager.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Sales Support

  • Accountable for all communication from after a signed contract until the home breaks ground!
  • Meets & greets appointments & walk-ins.
  • Uses Salesforce.com (SFDC) daily to manage the New Home Specialist calendar.
  • Updates leads & opportunities in SFDC with key buyer information & progress on the selling cycle; sends follow-up & solicitation emails.
  • Supports the New Home Specialists with HOA approvals & other admin tasks.
  • Inputs/edits info in MarkSystem for floorplan or home options or finish changes.
  • Provides back-up sales coverage for the New Home Specialists.
  • Cross Train to be able to fill in for New Home Specialist

Interior & Exterior Design Support to Homebuyers

  • Conducts design appointments with customers; demonstrates various interior finishes & exterior options.
  • Consults with buyers on tradeoffs of the buyer’s preferred selections of interior & exterior finishes with budget limitations; upsells as appropriate.
  • Reviews & revises floorplan layouts.
  • Consults upon & ensures cabinetry fit to the floorplan & uses Cabinet Vision Software.
  • Enters all feature, finish, & color selections into MarkSystem.

Local Marketing & Product Knowledge

  • Familiar with & can match key floorplans to buyer needs & wants.
  • Understands the BOLT selling system & can apply it with leads & as a part of the design consultation.
  • Makes outbound calls to potential leads to pull them into selling funnel.
  • Leads occasional community/realtor marketing events.
  • Performs administrative duties as needed.
  • Accountable for local marketing efforts, including, but not limited to, sending snail mail, planning local design studio & open house events, keeping track of marketing materials, etc.
  • Order necessary marketing materials from Home Office

Qualifications, Knowledge, & Skills:

  • Maintain a high degree of integrity & honesty in all business dealings.
  • Be professional in dress, manners & conduct.
  • Able to work well within a team environment.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with high energy level, attention to detail, & positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in verbal & written communication.
  • Familiar with Windows & MacOS Operating Systems, Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, & Teams AND/OR willingness to learn said operating systems & office applications.
  • Also, willingness to learn internal software & scheduling programs.
  • Two-year associates’ business or design degree is required. A four-year design and/or college business degree is preferred.
  • Prefer experience in the home building or associated industries (e.g., home finance, interior design, home builder or related materials marketing).
  • Ideally, a background or interest in design.
  • Proven track record of success.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Working predominately in assigned local office.
  • Work Schedule is weekdays from 8:00am-5:00pm & Saturdays from 10:00am- 5:00pm, as needed.
  • Normal work week is 5 days.
  • Monthly Schedule to be coordinated with General Manager.
