Q2 in an Official Appraisal

Q2: A Q2 dwelling is a high-quality house. This type of house is typically custom-designed for an owner’s site, but could be found in a high-quality tract development. In some locations where there are no Q1 houses, a Q2 dwelling might represent the best quality house in the area. Good quality trim and woodwork, hardwood and tile flooring, custom-designed kitchens and bathrooms, masonry exterior, etc. would be the hallmarks of a Q2 house.

Combined with high quality construction products, new construction ensures little to no maintenance for the homeowner. From the completion of your new home process to years after you’ve moved in, we have an entire customer care/warranty team devoted to the warranty of your home. Proactive walk-through visits with our warranty team ensure your home and the products maintain the Brown Haven quality.

Build As You Go

With over 15 years of experience and unmatched expertise, our team knows exactly what it takes to turn that vision in your heart into a real-life haven in North Georgia, Western North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee. We have a methodical pre-construction process in place to ensure that the buyer gets to design a beautiful custom home. Our experience shows that when you make changes during the construction process, the final home is not as cohesive as when your selections are made in the controlled setting of our design studios. This process ensures we build on time and on budget.

Open Ended and Never Ending Costs

A home that has no fixed price and no absolute plan in place before the builder breaks ground can grow quickly into an expensive project. Our Price Promise guarantees you’ll know the cost of your home once your selections are finalized.

Q1, Q3, or Q4 in an Official Appraisal

Q1: A Q1 dwelling is the best of the best. The interior and exterior materials and finishes are top quality, with lots of imported materials and high-quality ornamentation. Items like mahogany flooring and woodwork, imported tile, multiple custom kitchens and bathrooms would be indicative of a Q1 dwelling. In many communities, there are no Q1 houses. Conversely, in communities like Beverly Hills or Malibu, a significant number of houses might be Q1.

Q3: A Q3 house is still good quality, although not as consistently high as a Q2. Perhaps the kitchen is “semi-custom,” or the exterior siding is mostly vinyl with very little masonry. Interior flooring might be a mixture of ceramic tile and mid-grade carpeting.

Q4: This is a standard “builder-grade” house. The dwelling meets or exceeds code requirements, but the quality of the materials is similar to what can be purchased at a local “big box” home center.

Used Home

We understand there are many re-sale homes available in the areas we build. However, these used homes come with a world of questions and unknowns. When you build with Brown Haven, you know what's behind the walls of your custom home. With our Warranty department, we ensure your new home does not. With all new systems and products, new construction requires little to no maintenance for the homeowner.
