So, how long does it really take to build your Brown Haven custom home? In all honesty, it can vary based on the location, weather conditions, and most importantly your preparedness of as a homebuyer.

Once you’ve finally selected the Brown Haven floorplanthat meets the needs of your family, the first things our New Home Specialist will ask for is:

  • the deed to your land (Don’t have land? We can help with that! Click here to get started)
  • location of the plot
  • deed restrictions
  • water company information
  • electrical company information
  • the pre-qualification from the loan

Once you’ve provided the listed documents, and are approved for your home loan by one of our preferred lenders, we’ll begin the pre-construction process! Once Brown Haven breaks ground on your new home site, we provide home buyers with a time frame of 6-8 months for the custom home to be completed. To ensure that a custom built home is completed within the 6-8 months, Brown Haven’s specialist will guide buyers through a strict four-step pre-construction process.

Step One: Land Evaluation

Step Two: Selections Meeting

Step Three: Design Authorization

Step Four: Pre-Construction Meeting

If there is strict adherence to the Pre-Construction Schedule, we will break ground approximately 2 months from the time of the signed contract. Download our New Home Journey Guide for a more detailed look at Brown Haven’s process!
